Those Favicon’s
Sorry about not being on in a while. Have been very busy.
Just wanted to say that if you need a favicon created, email me and I’ll do it for you. What is a favicon??
A good example: that big W for WordPress that appears in your browser at the top. That’s a favicon. If you go to QVC you see the big Q in the red block. That’s a favicon.
I use Adobe PhotoShop to create what I want it to look like. Process it, upload it, insert the coding into my homepage and it appears whenever the page is called on.
It’s a good way for people to remember your site. If they put your link into their favorites folder, the favicon is also saved. That old saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” can be very very true since a favicon is nothing more than a teeny, tiny picture!
Those dpi’s
We all know that 72dpi is the perfect resolution for web shots but did you know that you should take the original shot at 300 dpi? That way the original photo can be cropped and enhanced and resized and THEN compressed for web usage for the best final product. And by taking the shot at 300dpi, the shot can also be used in a printed piece that you might want to put out in a brochure or catalog.
Be sure and check your camera!

Not ready to use Flash?
If Flash seems too complicated try a program called KoolMoves. It’s easy to use and a lot cheaper on the checking account. You’ll be making Kool animated stuff in no time!
